    Recommended by a friend i thought my renault had an electrical fault . Abacus had it all day found no fault and didnt charge me I was so impressed i returned to have a Mot and Service done

    The garage was RAC recommended. I had heard that it wasn't a very good garage so never used it before . The work carried out was identified on the RAC report but the technician knew that my concern was a warning light that was on. He fully expected this to be noticed by the garage but they failed to act on it and run diagnostic check. I spent £400 on work which I consider were secondary to my initial concern and I went back but was told it wasn't on the report from RAC and that it will cost me another £300 to have this repair carried out. I was able to tell the garage the fault with the warning light.

    As a previous driver of a company car for years to which my company used to service their fleet with Abacus i decided promptly to service my own car with them.Instead of receiving a loyalty discount.They charged me through the roof for an extra 50% not needed repairs. Eg lightbulbs back and front...espcecially when i checked them with my partner the previous day.The worst thing was that they havent even changed the oil after a full service.Take my word and keep away from these jokers.Even when i went in to pay the extortionate balance both owner and employee looked awkward and red faced unable to answer most questions.This was my last experience with this garage

    I beleive I have been charged for work by Abacus Autos in Redditch which was not carried out as requested as I have subsequently been advised and shown by a more reputable garage that this work still requires doing, this organisation has now carried out this work and the car is as it should have been in the first place. Firstly its clear that the engine oil was not changed as part of the full service I requested even though it was visibly evident it was badly in need of doing, secondly I have also been charged a non trivial sum of money to repair an oil leak I asked them to invesigate which I was advised would need the gearbox to be removed to cure, the car still had the oil leak when returned and I have now paid again to have this same job done properly as I simply would not trust Abacus to look it any of my vehicles again. Just for good measure the exhaust they fitted also had to be adjusted to stop it rattling against the car body and there were other issues on the car that the garage who have completed my repairs were suprised were not at least pointed out. As a regular customer of Abacus for some time I genuinly beleived they were a reputable outfit mainly beacuse they are affiliated to customer code of practice schemes but this is now the second and last occasion I have had to doubt the quailty of their work, on the other occasion I ended up taking my Audi back 3 times to complain that the front brakes squealed after having new pads and discs fitted, I was advised that this was beacause of the low mileage and lack of use on this vehicle causing the pads to glaze over? I do not have this problem now they have been replaced again properly. All in all its been a pretty poor show and all I want is for others to be aware of who they are dealing with, I have not raised this complaint directly with the garage as I no longer trust them to carry out work on any of my vehicles.

    The garage carried out a full service and MOT and kept me up to date with their progress. The work was completed in just a few hours and I was able to pick up the car earlier than expected. They even washed the car.

    I use Abacus because I find them fair with their prices and always pleasant and helpful. They provide some old fashioned service - often you are remembered by staff both reception and mechanic.

    I would have been over the moon if when working on changing the battery the service engineer had clean the dust off the cover. this although not required would show total care and attention.

    had new carb fitted, but throttle cable not fitted correctly to flyover pully, keys collected at cob. had to fix myself outside, they closed and left.

    A good all round experience Was a bit concerned about going to a garage other than the dealer but was very pleased
