    Mechanic who met me was happy to chat about the car and answer my questions not related to the work. For the further repair identified (I had asked for a rattle from the exhaust to be investigated) the garage has lent me a van to use on the day as both their courtesy cars were booked on the day I wanted, which I consider to be very good customer care.

    When I pucrhased by Mini in 2009 I sought an independant specialist to carry out any work needed. I have used Bartley for several repairs, servicing and MOT and feel they offer a good service at a fair price. Unlike other garages I do not feel like I am being ripped off. I have recommended them to my friends who now also use them and are very pleased.

    I found the Bartley garage on internet search for BMW specialist. their testimonials were really good, so booked in and I have to say they were fantastic. I was originally booked in the following week for a service, but my car broke down with a flat battey, they took it in straight away and had it fixed within 2 days, including my service. the price they quoted was the price I paid. excellent... Having worked in the motor trade in the past,for many years,I would say they are one of the top garages.

    I have just been in to service my car. It was a bit of a shock when i was told it was due a Inspection 2 at £295. But as I have been coming to the garage for some years now I trusted in your mechanics and agreed to the work. When I returned for my car I was told that a rear coil spring was broken and both rear wheel bearing where noisey and would need replacing at a estimated total cost of £800. Having just passed its MOT I was surprised that this was not mentioned. I decided I would get a second opinion and took the car to a local garage recommended to me by a work college. First I asked him how much it would cost to have all the work done as you recommended he said it would cost me £375. After asking me the millage of the car (50,000) he was surprised that both bearings would need replacing and after an inspection could find no noise. He did however tell me the the coils had some corrosion and has agreed to replace them for £150. I don't know how you can justify misleading your loyal customers.I feel I have been let down by your team and I will not be using your services in the future. Or as in the past I shall not be recommending you to others.

    This is a well run garage, and the mechanics are obviously properly trained on BMW cars. They know their stuff. There is a handy cafe adjacent to their unit, so I was able to book a time, read my paper with a cup of coffee and just over an hour later the mechanic came in to tell me the car was ready. Excellent service - and considerably cheaper than the BMW dealership. I will use them again and I am happy to recommend them.

    I use this garage following a friend's recommendation and I have had no reason not to be grateful for his advice. I have found the garage helpful and flexible in their assistance and above all excellent in the quality of their work. You feel more like a customer than a lot of the main dealers I have known.

    Work was carried out quickly and efficiently, though was suprised by the labour charges, £70 per hour is a lot, especially when was only to change a couple of wires, making a two hour job almost £200

    I heard about the garage through word of mouth and I can see why it is highly recommended, very knowledgable staff, efficient but not rushed. Happy to explain everything and do a proper job.     After being fleeced by the local BMW dealership, I searched specialist dealership and found Bartley's on the net a few years ago. Since then there is no going back. On another incidence as I was out of town and the car's exhaust needed to be fixed, the other garage made a complete mess. Bartley's put it right. They are very friendly, and although I'm no car expert, in comparison I find the prices very reasonable. I like BMWs and will be going to back to them every single time even with my new car (whenever I change). Current mileage at 140,000 still runs great as it did on day 1 - thanks to Bartley's.

    After six years of regular and occossional emergency work, I can confidently say that Bartley are an excellent team of knowledgeable and friendly engineers and reception staff.     I have been very pleased with the service received from Bartley BMW, and will continue to use this garage, which has a very good reputation in our area. I have shown the booking process as 'good' simply because they are very busy and I had to wait for a booking slot to become available. Since the work was not urgent, however, this was not a problem. I have used Bartley BMW a number of times with this vehicle, and have always found them to be very helpful, and accurate with their estimates of both cost and time. I would be happy to recommend them to other BMW and Mini owners.

    A BMW dealership could learn a thing or two about customer service by conducting their business the way Bartley BMW work. Above all I have found them exceptionally honest, open and knowledgeable when it comes to working on my car, which I would not entrust to just anyone. I have complete confidence in their workmanship and attention to detail. They have always been polite when I'm booking, collecting or dropping off my car, contacted me and provided updates on progress, advice where needed and when quotes for work have been provided the actual bill for the work has never been far from the original quote. I simply would not consider taking either of my BMWs anywhere else. Bartley BMW = 10/10

    Discovered this enterprise by word of mouth. They're very willing to take time to discuss all aspects of the work and made no additional charges to a standard service for requested exploratory work.     I contacted Bartley on the recommendation of neighbours. in fact my car broke down on the way and I was towed there un-announced by he AA. The reception I received was first class (even though the garage was very busy and I was not booked in) I was made to feel very welcome and was struck with the professionalism of the staff, all of whom were in uniform, were all polite, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The car was left fro diagnosis and I was called later that day with confirmation of what was wrong and an estimate to put it right. The work was then completed way ahead of schedule and the car is back on the road. Great service, I'm only sorry I didn't discover Bartley years ago - I will be back.

They were very helpful and accommodated my request for early notification of the completion of the work which enabled me to arrange to pick the car up at a convenient time given I live 10+ miles from the workshop.

    Had to wait a long time before they returned my call for the first appointment. The part was replaced but the faulty part was not given to me for inspection as requested. The fault started again two weeks later. I sold the vehicle soon after. Too much hassel. They gave me a long list of things that they said needed doing. I took it to another garage for a second opinion and they said that the vast majority of it did not need doing and they were trying to squeeze more money out of me. I don't recommend this garage, I would never deal with them again.

    I used Bartley on the basis of a recomendation and I have not been disappointed. Prices are reasonable and the work appears to be spot on - I say this on the basis that I have not had to take the car back for work. I drive in the region of 30,000 miles a year and I have used Bartleys for all servicing and repairs over the 4 years I have had the car which now has 182,000 on the clock.

    I've been using Bartleys ever since I was recommended them on my previous BMW to complete a cylinder head gasket repair. They have always proved much better value than the official BMW franchises with a lot less fuss and a lot more interest. My work situation means it is always awkward for me to get to the garage within advertised opening hours (plus I always need a vehicle) and within reason Bartley have always been very accommodating in this respect - this kind of customer service stands them out from the crowd!

    As a female car owner I find it hard to trust garages, but feel safe knowing the staff won't take advantage at Bartley BMW. I would also prefer to go there rather than my local main BMW dealer as the staff are friendly and always helpful, and when something does go wrong they can usually see me the same (if not next) day. I would highly recommend Bartley BMW as they are trustworthy and honest, and care about you an a customer!
