After I dropped off my car I received a phone call as they couldn't find the fault I had described and that they didn't want to to do work that they regarded as unnecessay - not many garages would have done that! I explained further about the fault and after further inspection and following my instructions of how to demonstrate the fault they found it and carried out the work as requested. One extremely happy customer!

The work that needed to be done on my car took longer than was expected but the garage called me to advise me of this and when they would be able to have the work done by. They also showed concern that I would not have my car over the weekend and offered to loan me one. They also securely stored my car in a locked garage over the weekend while the garage was shut.

I experienced a fault with the rear suspension on my car and was extremely worried I was going to be faced with a huge, huge garage bill. It was recommed, by a friend too let Dave look at the car as they have always recieved a high quality service that excells all previous experiences with main dealers and other local garages. "As with taking a child to the doctors", When taking the car to Dave, the fault disappeared!! Dave throughly checked the car over and if was agreed, to monitor the situation and bring the car straight back if and when it occured again. A day or so later, when least expected, the fault re-appeared. I contacted Dave and booked the car in. On the way to the garage the same thing happened. I was extremely worried of the costs envolved, as had previously experienced costly, poor and unreasurring service from other garages in the past... Dave Coles was amazing. The service which I recieved was second to none. The garage provided first class communication, clear fault diagnostic, detailed costing and an accurate time of when the car would be ready. The garage explained the repair went smoothly and took less time than initially thought and this was reflected in a deduction in the final invoice. Dave Coles has definatly restored my faith in car repairs and I can whole heartedly recommend his service and support to all.

A garage I have used before and will continue to use in the future

This is the second time I have used this company to carry out a repair on my car . First time to change the timing belt and this time to fix an unexpected failure of the rear anti roll bar. Both occassions I have been really happy with the service received. The company came by recommendation from a friend and I wouldn't hesitate to pass on the recommendation.

They were extreamly helpful, they were able to fit me in at a moments notice. I thought it might be the starter motor that would need replacing but it was only the battery, I was glad that they were honest about this and costing less than I originally expected.

I would never trust my car to another garage as have had exceptional work for last few years done at Dave Coles. They are thorough, never overcharge, fully explain all aspects of charges, work to do etc. Sometimes nothing needed at MOT/service but this time quite a bit work required. I accept completely and trust absolutely no rip offs here. 10/10 definitely.

A friendly staff that give the impression nothing is too much trouble. I also got the impression that the staff thoroughly enjoyed working there. It's a shame the garage is in a back street, more people would want to use it if they knew it existed. I used to run a repair garage facility in the Royal Navy so I'm a bit fussy who I go to and this garage gets all my families work.

We have used Dave Coles Garage for approx 10 years, possibly more, this was before we moved into Gosport. My husband has owned Rover and Jaguar Cars and when I was driving, my own Rover & Nissan Cars. Dave has repaired accident damage & serviced/MOT the cars when required. In addition Dave has helped when the cars wouldn't start and as mentioned in a previous section, repaired the seat to my Mobility Scooter which had broken off from the frame. I am always impressed with the level of friendly service we receive and will continue to use the Garage & recommend it to others.
