We are Motor Engineers established in 1973. We have a modern workshop and M.O.T. testing bay a 5 minute drive from Durham city centre at our new premises in Langley Moor. Our site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for drop off and the collection of vehicles as our well known breakdown service is also based here.

We undertake routine servicing and major repairs and have advanced dealer level diagnostic equipment. On site we also carry out fast fit work and carry a large selection of tyres in stock.

The customer service at reception was excellent and informative. I came in late evening and got quote for bronze service. They got my car in for 8am the next day. The car was ready 2 hrs later. I would recommend Fred Henderson to anyone.

This established local garage has been serving the motorists of Durham for quite a number of years and has built an excellent reputation which is why I use it.....one can be sure of reliable/honest advice and servicing. Current location/ premises means I can take the car in at time to suit me as it's open 24 hrs. Kept informed as service/work carried out so customer decision/approval is the norm. And the car gets washed before return to the customer.....!! Deserves excellent rating on all fronts !!

I have used Fred Henderson LTD for several years and have always been happy with the quality of work completed on my cars. The staff are really polite, helpful and friendly and always make themselves available to give advice and guidance. Any work done is completed honestly to a very high standard and I highly recommend this garage to anybody. Today I had my car serviced. I had expressed my concerns about what I thought needed looking at and the staff confirmed what actually was needed to Fix my car. They ensured I had my car booked in correctly to pay a fair price. They also rang me to double check I was happy to proceed with the work at the price quoted. It is nice to know my family are safe as the work has been carried out to a very high standard. Once again a fantastic garage.

Very friendly and helpful customer service. Very good of them to call to check costing although I had already been aware of likely level of cost. Very easy to drop off and pick up car. Would definitely recommend. Only less than perfect scores because it was not explained to me why they did a brake fluid change but then I did not ask. I assumed part of service, but then it is costed separately on invoice so I do not know. However, the cost of this aspect is low and I trust it to have been needed.
