Mr Bob Laker Date of feedback 13/06/2013I would like to commend Paul Rossiter and his team on a great job, completed with good humour and friendliness, especially as I had made matters difficult in supplying my own parts (Exhaust) which turned out to be of inferior quality. The job, therefore had to be performed twice, but only after many phone calls trying to locate a suitable replacement exhaust. Over the years I have used many Tyre/Exhaust/Etc Outlets, much like PROTYRE, but never have I been more satisfied than on this occasion. I would not hesitate to visit them again and can whole heartedly recommend them to anyone requiring their services. I would also like to add that these surveys are such a good idea as the days of being" ripped off" by unscrupulous dealers are now possibly numbered, as a result. Bob Laker

mr david bremner Date of feedback 25/04/2013my quote for a cambelt was £310 +. the final bill was £395.83 +. I was informed there were problems after 4hrs into the job. Hyundai instructions were not detailed and made the removal of the old belt impossible. I was offered my car back reassembled no charge or leave the car at the garage but there would be an extra charge. I chose to pay the extra and let the mechanic go ahead. Tony had to draw on his experience and use his brain. he had jacked the engine, dropped the prop, but still could not get the belt off. He then dropped the sub frame on the bolts. The rest is history. five oclock i was asked to collect my car, this had taken all day. Hyundai wanted £700+. The desk, Ben, kept me informed at all times with full technical knowledge of the problem. I had a small problem and returned the car next day, it was fixed immediately. I am so pleased with the efficiency and customer care of this garage i have booked the same car back in for a full service and mot. We have 4 cars, one van, one motorcycle and they will only be going to Protyre Eastleigh. My thanks to Ben and his calm well mannered ability to steer the job to success. My sincere thanks to Tony for his skill and dedication for getting over problems he had never encountered before. He is a real asset to the garage and an credit to his parents. His polite, well mannered attitude diffuses any difficult situation and leaves the customer more than satisfied. Protyres policy of investment in staff at all levels certainly shows from the time you reach the front door, Well done.

My tyres were checked and I was advised about the range of available tyres, The choice was made and they were fitted and I was advised about the need for tracking and why tracking important. I waited in the clean welcoming waiting area with free tea and coffee and magazines and daytime tv on. I was taken to see the screen by technician about tracking directions. The Invoice produced and paid. Car moved by Ben to ease getting out of site, and all within an hour. Excellent. Family and friends use the service and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work guys. One appreciative customer.

The staff are always helpful, smile and greet customers in a pleasant and polite manner, very good at explaining the technical ins and outs in laymans terms, yet never making me feel like i'm being spoken down to. Overall an absolutely stonking performance yet again from protyre and at prices you just won;t find anywhere else..if only other companies treated their customers like this, but even if they did, i wouldn't go anywhere else!

I would always recommend as not only is the back end service excellent but i don't know of another business who's customer service is so exceptional. The reception is clean and has a friendly atmosphere and the wc facilities are immaculate. The staff are always polite, helpful and friendly without being overly so - if that makes sense. They even have nice coffee - which they get for you and put CBeebies on the TV to keep the kiddies occupied! :)

Mr ross fripp Date of feedback 08/02/2013I contacted the garage regarding excessive non-even tyre wear and requested the cause be rectified as well as requesting specific tyres for my car. Not only did the work get carried out quickly and the correct parts supplied and fitted the contact was superb (I was regularly kept up to date with phone calls), the staff were friendly and helpful and thoroughly explained the work which had to be done and the price was very fair indeed! I am always anxious about trying new garages out but I would thoroughly recommend protyre in Eastleigh and will be returning for future work when it needs to be carried out - in fact, i booked an MOT with them for the following week. Thoroughly recommended.

Miss Polly Butler Date of feedback 04/02/2013I visited Protyre prior to a long journey for a free winter tyre check as advertised on local radio. The staff explained how my tyres were wearing and the legal limit. (they were just on the limit). They then left me to decide whether i wanted to proceed with the work and exactly how much this would cost and how long it would take. I felt comfortable that i wasnt pressured into a decision and i felt i was given the information needed to make an informed choice. the worker even suggested i could call the dealer to see if the work was covered under my warranty, in order to save me some money. When the work had been completed the worker (i believe the manager) explained the invoice, asked whether i was happy with the work and service. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the building. The manager offered hot drinks, when i asked for hot chocolate he purchased this for me as it wasnt included in the free drinks. I was impressed at this very small gesture that made me feel like a valued customer. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made me feel very comfortable. As a woman on my own i was interested to see that they were a member of a 'female friendly' garage scheme. They even explained what this meant and enquired as to whether i was happy with this. I was really impressed with the level of service, although it was a more expensive option to buying re-conditioned tyres i would use Protyre again due to the confidence i have in their service. I have already recommended Protyre to work colleauges. Thank you very much for the excellent service.

Exceptionally friendly team and a service which gives genuine confidence in assessment of required repairs. I had new rear coil spring, two new tyres and a full tracking/toe/camber job. Went back a couple of days later to query a possible tracking fault-they popped up it and did a full exam immediatley and could not have been more accomodating.

They were also friendly, answered all of my questions (and were polite about it) and treated me with respect. I saw on the wall they had a 'Foxy Choice' certificate saying they were a 'female friendly garage' and it was true. The office was also clean and welcoming. While I was there, the manager even went out to buy sweets for children going to the garage with their parents over the Christmas period!

I phoned them very late in the day to ask about replacing a tyre and checking the wheel alignment. They very kindly squeezed me in at the end of the day, and carried out the work to a very high standard. The technician took the time to show me around my vehicle to explain the fault with the wheel alignment, and what then explained the procedure to correct it. I have a good knowledge of vehicles so understood completely what was required, and felt very confident that the repair would be done to a high standard. I also noted that the staff took the time to explain the relevant repairs and prices to other customers, who may be less experienced with vehicles and mechanics. They have a very reassuring manner, and are not at all patronising, like some garages can be. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. Service is first class, as is the workmanship.

Mr Chris Smith Date of feedback 10/11/2012My car needed new tyres, a previous garage had damaged the locking wheel nut key and I had bought a replacement. Protyre explained the difficulty and warned me of how tight the nuts were fitted and that it may happen again. It did unfortunately but they spent 2 hours manually removing the wheel nuts. There was no extra charge for this although I did tip the young mechanic as he saved me having to pay another £30 for a key. I had just returned from the USA where customer service is king but I could not have received better service anywhere in the world than that I received that day. They fitted my tyres without appointment, phoned me twice to explain the situation and 'delivered the goods' despite all the problems with no extra charge, in fact it was all good humoured and seen as a challenge to solve the problem. A big thank you to them all.

The bloke changing the tyres showed me the old ones, explained why I had worn the insides of the tyre in terms I could understand (he quickly worked out i'm not a car nut) and offered me advice about how often to check alignment (which I will do in Jan when I m.o.t my car...which will be at Protyre!) I will definitely be recommending them to my friends

They spent a lot of time shopping around for the parts. I recomend this garage to friends and work collegues. Working for the ambulance service the garage understood the importence of being able to get to and from work and carried out the work efficiently. Working on the same road as the garage makes things very useful so i was able to leave the car with them whilst at work. The garage staff were brilliant epecially Ben and the technician who fixed my car. They showed me the parts and gave me further advice. I completly trust in the advice given to me and don't believe i would have work done anywhere else now. My bill was huge, over £1000 but the staff shopped around to get the best price and i am very grateful Thanks lads on a job well done.

As soon as i got there they put my car on the ramp and showed me what the problem was. They told me the part would be in and fitted within 20 minutes and asked if i was happy to stay. I have never experienced such high level of customer service before amd was so happy with the service

Mr John Fullbrook Date of feedback 18/09/2012While i was happy with the work carried out i did issue a concern before the car was looked at. It made a grumbleing noies on right hand corners and that it also made a knocking sound at the same time. And that a tyre had gone flat and damaged the sidewall of a tyre. Then i get told i have 2 bald tyres in the recption but they where warn because the tracking was out. But not under the legal limit and not dangrous and advised to change them but as i had to change one i got the other done. The tracking and balanceing was done but that i would have to bring it back again so they could test drive and look more indepth at the problem. When i was paying the bill the merchanic comes in and tells me my car was at the side of the road with the keys in the ignition because he did not no how to remove them having never driven a saab before. But he did go back and remove them once told how to remove them. Whilst i am not angry the garage i am dissapointed the issue is still there and i work a night shift so my time to bring it back is limited

It was frustraing though with todays business man on the road alot of the time that the branch had no wi-fi! Small investment and this makes this visit perfect. Overall though very good indeed, would recommend to family and friends - as long as they dont take their laptop with them, they will get the great customer service.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, listening to the explanation of the problem as explained to me by the 2 previous garages. They then carried out their own investigations before agreeing the work and explaining that they could not release the car until they were entirely satisfied that the repair had resolved the problem fully.

The manager, (Paul) and his colleague, (Ben), could not have been more helpful and took time to explain what was being done and why. They both went beyond the expected levels of service and their personal efforts to repair an unexpected problem were wonderful. The customer areas of the garage were clean and comfortable and the complimentary hot drinks were a pleasant and welcome addition to the high levels of service. The toilet facilities were also spotless. I would not hesitate to recommend this garage to my family and friends. I cannot thank the staff at Protyre enough for the service I recieved. I can only say, once again, thank you very much. This garage sets a standard that others can only aspire to.

It was a really nice experience from walking in the door to leaving after my car was finished. The staff were all very friendly and Bill who worked on my car couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend Protyre to anyone. Thanks guys.

Mrs Sandy Nixon Date of feedback 09/07/2012I called in to Protyre without an appointment, to purchase 2 new rear tyres for my Mercedes. I am a lady of 67 years and am dependent on honest, helpful advice when making a purchase for my vehicle, as I do not understand the best choices to make, to ensure the safety of my car. Ben was most polite and said they would be able to fit new tyres for me whilst I waited, and gave me a quote for the replacements, making sure I had a drink and was comfortable whilst I waited. Steve inspected the car and found that the front tyres had some 'feathering' and with Ben suggested that they put these on the rear of the car and the new Michelin on the front. I was later called in to see the car as they found the alignment of the rear wheels was slightly out of line and Steve showed me this on the computer readout. I was informed of the extra cost and the fact that they had also balanced the tyres. On completion Steve brought me the keys and confirmed all we had discussed had been carried out. Ben showed me the invoice which I was happy to pay. I left Protyre happy that my car had been thoroughly checked for all of the tyres including the spare, tracking, wheel alignment etc; There were several customers in the waiting area at the time and the phone was continually ringing, which Ben was very polite answering. However, nothing was too much trouble in helping me with my car. I feel confident that my car is now safe and should give some considerable mileage on the tyres now that they have been checked / replaced by Protyre. Ben and Steve were most helpful in explaining to me the options I had and advising me on my choice of tyres. I feel confident to return to Protyre in September when my car is due for it's MOT and Service.
