    All went well with the purchase of the BRZ. Was surprised that I was asked to pay on the day with a debit card which was problematic. Surely raising an invoice in advance and paying by transfer would be better for both parties ?

    I received a very friendly and helpful response to my telephone query regarding test driving the new Outback. The test drive was arranged and I was impressed with the way in which my wife was involved and John Beckingham explained the various attributes of the car to my wife which was very helpful. We undertook the test drive and have subsequently placed an order for a new Outback.

    A positive experience without the pressure lot buy the car without establishing what I and my wife requirements were. The test drive allowed us to try the eyesight system which was a very positive point for my wife.

    I was treated very well and in the usual Proven competent manner. My car VN07EPA had an MOT. I really felt that the MOT tester gave it a thorough check and also found a few potential safety issues. They were pointed out to me and put right within an hour. That's very good service, no two ways about it. I'm a very satisfied customer.

    Very efficient and timed. My only problem relates to the gear change performance. I have done the return trip to Southampton today and the gear change down has been very sluggish.

    Very well looked after - both the car and myself. All the required work was completed to my complete satisfaction. The car was returned to me clean inside and out. My only gripe would be the cost - nearly £1000 for a routine piece of work. I received a phone call from Proven the next day to enquire how I felt about the service. For a full 'Rolls Royce' service, it would have been very nice to have offered to drop the car off at my house after the work was completed (I had to make a bike ride instead) - but this isn't a real issue.

    Staff talked me through the service schedule and MOT and the estimated time for collection. I asked if someone would look at my radio which had stopped receiving any signals and they said they would do that. Unfortunately they were unable to diagnose the problem within the time allocated so I will need to book my car in for another time.

    48000 service on my Forester XC was carried out to my complete satisfaction. The car was collected in lovely condition, having been cleaned inside and out - very pleasing.

    The car is still working so good, but when i arrived on site with my car i was prescented with paperwork and on this paperwork was a service check up for £25 whitch i did not want or even ask for and wasn't even explained to me on the phone when i called referance my car problem. but be fair to garage they didn't charge me for this once i had explained, they sorted my car's problem and charged me what i was quoted in the time i was quoted so over all all ok,

    I thought that everyone at the garage was very helpful especially john beckingham who I was dealing with, when it came out with the wrong towbar I told them and the right one was on my doorstep the next day. I would highly recommend this garage to anyone who wants an izuzu.

    John Beckingham always collects our car in the morning, takes it to Haslemere and returns it in the evening to us in Great Bookham. This is excellent service and we are very grateful to John. Any time our car is serviced, it is always returned beautifully cleaned both inside and out. Your cleaner (Mike I believe) does a brilliant job - our thanks to him as well please.

    Graham and team took some practical steps to help me fix a steering issue though I am 100 miles away. He helped me check a few basic things remotely first, then took steps to come and get my car, fix it and return it back to me. The driver even took care to return it with the same amount of fuel. I know I had only recently bought the car from you and it is in warranty, but I felt you went out of your way to sort it out. Unfortunately I couldn't seem to get it fixed at my local dealer which I thought was bizarre. So full marks to you. My rating of 9 in this survey is for this particular experience.

    This was my first visit to the service department as I had a problem which I needed dealing with quickly. I am soon due to go to Germany in the vehicle so there was some concern about getting it repaired in time, but this was unfounded due to the way it was well handled.

    With the closure of Sparshatts of Botley as a main dealer I now live some considerable distance from a main dealer which is now a significant disadvantage. I made the decision to use Proven located 60 miles away in Haslemere for the service as I had purchased the car from them and the previous service had been carried out effectively and courteously. However this time the replacement front offside disc was incorrectly fitted and severely overheated after driving about 10 miles by which time the garage was closed. I needed to call out a recovery company which eventually brought me and my Subaru back to Haslemere at 9pm. I then had to get to the rail station and after 3 train journeys arrived home at mid night. I was due to visit my daughter in Brsitol the following day but had to cancel this causing her inconvemience. Proven inspected the car and found a part had been incorrectly fitted and the vehicle was available for collexction in the afternoon. I then spent a further 2 hours getting to Haslemere and collected the vehicle at 5pm. The member of staff was apologetic for the error and inconvenience. I quoted the direct costs i'd incurred as £50 and was offered a further £25 which was directed from the service bill of of £840. This did not compensate for the loss of a day's leave and five hours of travelling resulting from the defective repair but at the time I just wanted to get the vehicle back and get to an evening appointment.

    I was advised by my local non-franchised garage who had contacted Proven re a Climate control issue they were trying to resolve who advised me that my car was subject to a Subaru recall. I called Proven and fixed a time for it to be fixed. This was done within half an hour while I waited and it was all courteously and efficiently. I do how ever think that Subaru should have got hold of me initially rather a non-franchised garage.
