    i first raised the problem with the garage we had the car from and they said they couldnt find anything wrong (the engine light stayed on) that was 12 months ago so we carried on useing the car until 1 month ago when i raised the subject again as we kept getting msgs on dash board saying hand brake faulty apply hand brake (AT 40 MPH) so they said we needed a new unit on the handbrake and they said the pads on the back brakes were worn down by 80% the car has only done 12000 miles and we were only getting 24-26 miles to the gallon (diesel) and now they have sorted it after over 12 months we are getting 35-38 mpg so am i satisfied with renault NO and all that wasted fuel because of brakes being on at all times?

    We have been Renault owners for many years and always said we keep going back because of the service department Because of cut backs the experience is one I no longer rate, no car whilst yours is in all day,not open Saturday mornings,length of time to get things booked in,staff at front desk not as helpful. I suppose the cut backs made are always at the detriment to the customer

    When we dropped the vehicle off we were advised that the vehicle would be washed and valeted.Nither of these things were done. Also we asked for the rear brakes to be looked at as they squeaked after application we were told that this had been done but they still squeak.

    I took my car to Renault to get my traction control fixed. I know it isn't working as the light does not come on if I were to cause the car to lose traction. The light works because I can turn the ESP on and off. Renault gave me the car back saying everything is ok but it is not. I wasn't charged which was good of them but I wanted my car to be investigated fully. They never did

    On completing a routine service they managed to break my air filter to which they had to keep my car and for me to pick it up the following day! Given courtesy car that was running on fumes! Got car back following day nothing stamped or written in book! Computer in car not been updated! Unhelpful staff! Asked them to fix drivers seat handle on return it fell off again! Had to re book car in again!

    The van has been in the workshop for four weeks now. The first week was to sort out the power steering and was delayed by Warranties Direct which is fair enough. However, after another week I was told (when I rang up because you are never updated) it was ready. later that day I was told that the van completely shutdown when it was being moved. That was two weeks ago. In the meantime I have been told that the tool required to fix the issue has broken and another tool needed to be ordered. The only saving grace is I have been loaned another van for now. Even so, a month? I have to say that this is not the first time I have received this kind of service. The best part of it is all they have to do is to give you an update every once in a while and most of the pain would go.

    My car was giving problems, which I considered to probably be serious and as I had a long journey to undertake in a few days I thought it wise to have the car checked over, (it was already booked in for a service/MOT the following week). Well when I spoke to the man behind the service desk he was very short with me and did not take a problem solving approach as this couldn't be done and that couldn't be done. He couldn't even look up my car registration even though I am an established Renault customer. I was not offered the option of them phoning for a taxi for me to get to work or allowing me to phone for one. So walked out and to work. This I would have considered simple customer service as I was leaving my car with Renault. There was no committment i.e. Mrs .... We'll do our best to fit you in or we would be happy to squeeze you in as you car may not be road worthy and you are of course a valued customer . My parting to the man was ' I am sure you would not want me to drive a car that was not safe' and I left. Thank heavens I did as the car was completely unsafe and he told me would not have made the journey. When I went back in the evening to make arrangements for the repairs and to hire a car I was with my husband and this person's attitude could not have been more different; facilitative and helpful. My husband and I did wonder if he has something about women and cars!! I think that some customer service training would not go amiss.

    Paid �40 for MOT and health check when I picked up car I didn't receive the health check list you normally get. When I asked I was told every thing passed no problems. The health check list is nice to obtain as it gives the customer an idea of the amount of life left on the tyres and breaks etc. I use to get when i gir my wifws car serviced and motd from yoursleves and this is the first MOT I didn't get anything, and never got this checklist when I serviced my car last year from yourselves. Have you stoped providing a copy of the health checklist to customers and if so canbi ask wh? Y.

    I am under warranty, hasn't been a year yet since I bought my car, I bought it for seven thousand five hundred which is a lot of money for me, so you don't expect anything to go wrong within the year, when is rung up to explain to the gentleman that my headlights both of them have gone out and the drivers door won't open automatically and the alarm keeps going off, and the headlights don't go off when I switch the engine off and then another time they go off when I switch the engine off, he was very nice on the phone I said the car was still under warranty, so he said I will transfer you to wolverhampton and have it booked it. They transferred me to wolverhampton and the lady booked me in, I asked her would it be possible for someone to give me a lift back to work as I will be dropping it first thing, she said we give you �12.00 maximum for taxi as long as you got your receipt from taxi driver. The day I dropped the car off I explained to the gentleman what the problem I had with the car, he said I might have to pay for the headlights as they not included in the warranty but I said they went off when I had the problem with the door not opening, so he said he will write it down and they will let me know. I had a phone call from a gentleman saying there was a electrical problem with the door that's why my door wouldn't open my lights would and wouldn't go off and my alarm get going off, but then he said I would have yo pay for my headlights, I did argue surely both of them went off because of the problem and he said no, it's got nothing to do with it, if one headlight went off fair enough I would have paid but two to go off as soon as my electrics started playing up seemed odd, anyway I also said I got a receipt from the taxi driver of 10.00 he said we only five �5.00 back only I explained I got told 12 was the maximum, he said no it's �5, so you can understand Why I wasn't impressed I had to pay nearly �90.00 for my headlights I had no choice so I will have to think about going there again next time, when I bought the car the gentleman there was very good his attitude, the way he explained things just everything about him, and I had gone to a lot of garages to look for a car before Renault, but I bought it from there because he wasn't pushy his attitude was perfect, I even went to work and passed the word round how good they were, so my friend went there and bought a car as well.but I felt really let down this time.

    Was told it was not the cable but a gear box linkage bearing being stiff.This is not true as I can move linkage with my fingers with no hardship.Hence I bought a clip that holds the cable to the linkage for �12.00.This is cheaper than the option they gave which was taking gear box out to change the linkage bearing.{the cable was at fault Renault did not want to keep there warrant promise.

    It's important to me to have my car returned by 2pm on the day of the service and I always make the service team aware of this. I ask them to call me when the car is ready OR more importantly if the car will not be ready at this time. I very rarely get a call. When I phone them to ask whether the car is ready and I'm told it is, it's not uncommon for me to wait for 20 - 30 mins to actually get the car handed back to me! If it's not ready - just tell me it's not ready
