Family owned garage, much better service than large chain imho.

As always Tolleys gave exemplary service. Bean dealing with them for 7 years and never had any reason to complain. They always put themselves out to be helpful. I can't praise them enough. Not sure I want a Citroen for my next car but think I may well get one so that I can stay with this superb team.

Excellent service received. I use my car to visit clients at work and from identifying a problem on my way to work that left my car undrivable, within 2 hours I was back out visiting clients in a courtesy car.Very satisfied.

THE EXTRA WORK REQUIRED TO THE CAR ONCE THE WORK HAS BEGUN WAS POTENTIALLY ABOVE WHAT THE CAR ITSELF WAS WORTH, THIS COULD HAVE BECOME A VERY DIFFICULT SITUATION FOR BOTH MYSELF AND THE GARAGE. Lovely people and the work was carried out as expected and on time. It would have been nice to be offered use of a courtesy car or a lift home while my car was being worked on as I have had at other garages.

I have been using this garage for about 3 years, when I started taking my previous car for service and MOT. I have always been totally satisfied with the service.

Went in initially for a MOT and had a failure, on a Saturday morning, they were able to provide a curtosy car to keep me mobile. Had an unplanned delay returning the car and they waited for me to return... Just a couple of examples of over and above the usual from the garage.

First used this dealer (Roy Tolley) many years ago as local to work place, was pleased then also, but switched to an alternative due to job change. The alternative (Sterling Motor Group) was excellent until taken over by a large Ford dealer who, lately, have developed a "couldn't care less" attitude after what appears to be a management switch round. I will be unlikely to return there prefering the 40 mile round trip to Colchester. On recent experince I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tolley's to anyone. One very nice touch, in our opinion, was the list welcoming todays customers which was displayed in redeption. As you'll have guessed I'm pleased with the service offered!

Replacement Parts. Your question needs to be reworded. I did not request to inspect the replaced parts BUT I was offered the opportunity to inspect and/or retain the replaced. I did not accept this offer.

This is an intermittent (probably wiring) fault, so the blame for the garage's inability to identify and fix the problem (which recurred on the way home) may lie with poor design, possibly of the wiring loom connectors which may have become corroded. I have not complained to the garage as the fault code reading confirmed it was not a critical issue (suggested turbo boost issue) and I have decided to monitor the situation for a while longer.

This was a surprise major repair involving replacement of automatic gearbox after less than 30,000 miles, so I was disappointed and shocked, but the garage staff at least carefully explained the situation very helpfully.

Repair work was fine. While at the garage I wandered into the new car showroom but was not approached by any salesmen offering advice, which i would have accepted on this occasion.

Overall experience from receiving the reminder, through booking and arrannging replacement vehicle for the day. to receiving the car (valeted) back on time with all work completed to total satisfaction was brilliant. Small adjustments to doors were even carried out free of charge!

The car was put on a computer analysis which identified the Comm 2000 unit as faulty (99.9% certainty) at a cost of £80 + VAT. This unit was replaced (£195.98) and I was then told the BSI Computer was also faulty (not mentioned previously) and this cost a further £297.55! The BSI Computer was replaced and the car now functions normally. After negotiations, TOLLEY agreed to refund the computer analysis cost.

I have used this garage many times, the staff are always, very friendly, thorough and professional. They work hard to create a relaxing envirnment for waiting in and as a female I have never felt intimidated or patronised which can sometimes happen in garages. My visit today was late on a friday afternoon, and there was no feeling of staff wanting to get finished to go home, which really impressed me. The atmosphere always feels like the staff enjoy and take pride in their work, they also see to work very well as a team. Well done Roy Tolley, Colchester

I have used this garage to purchase and maintain my cars for 25 years and have always found is very satisfactory. In fact, I would say that it is largely due to the reliability of Citroen franchise garages that I and my wife have bought Citroens since the sixties.

Please review your website which is unable to accept the date of service - no dates visible below first line and box refuses accept manual insert. To complete your survey I have inserted date 01.11.10 although service was actually carried out on 9.11.10 which is not visible in your pop-up date box. It is not clear from your website that boxes have to be ticked for customer service and overall opinion nor what these boxes mean until you actuially tick one. Roy Tolley service excellent. Your website fair to poor and a time-waster.

The Service Advisor Mr Will Hogg was particularly efficient at diagnosis, arranging for necessary parts and fitting. additionally he was extremely pleasant, most helpful, and reassuring. The Rover Technician also very pleasant and very effective.

The car has a 3 year prepaid service aggreement and this was its first annual service. (4,588 miles only) and this it what I requested when first booking the service two/three weeks previously. I was asked to sign the usual printed job/work sheet aggreeing for the work to be carried out. This however stated that a two year 24,000 full service was required. I pointed this out and the top copy sheet only was ammended to suit. The service was completed and the service log book stamped. I was not given a copy of the work sheet. When I asked to have one, for my service records, I was told that these were not issued. When pressed I was given a brief hand written report stating that the annual "peace of mind" service had been carried out. I phoned Citroen UK about this and was told that I should have had a copy of the job/work sheet. In over 45 years of driving I have never not been given a customer copy of the job/work sheet whether or not the work was under warranty, prepaid or standard repair/service work. This is the reason I'm bringing this to your notice. The actual survey above is not really applicable i8n this case.

I have had numerous problems with my C8. It seems to be a rogue vehicle but I cannot commend Tolleys highly enough. They always give me excellent service with good humour and go out of their way to help me. Even if my next car is not a Citroen I would still go to Tolleys. The experience is second to none.

My car is a motability vechicle and to date all the servicing etc has been excellent. This time the car required an MOT before it is handed back to Motability in May 2010. I had to have a driving (fog) light replaced which is not covered under any warranty. This was costly although Tolleys did their best to keep the price down which was satisfactory. I am so pleased with the level and standard of service, that even though I have moved house since the lease agreement commenced I have kept loyal to the garage and will get my new Citroen from them in May rather than a more local dealer.

Tolleys does seem to do a bit more than most to make sure you are happy with their service. The staff appear to be genuine in their efforts to keep customers happy, rather than just reading from a script.
