Jaguar Land Rover network signs up to Motor Codes

Dealerships commit to service and repair standards

Prestigious British-based car manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, has demonstrated its commitment to providing first-class service by subscribing all of its dealers to Motor Codes.

The 263-strong dealer network, already signed up to the customer service and retailing principles outlined in the OFT-approved New Car Code, has joined the 6,500-plus group of garages committed to providing consistently high aftersales standards and transparency for motorists.

The news comes off the back of record sales figures for Jaguar Land Rover and points to a drive to deliver complete customer confidence, as Bill Fennell, customer service director, explains, "Our sales levels continue to demonstrate the faith that motorists have in the quality of the Jaguar Land Rover product and the public scrutiny afforded by Motor Codes to our service network will serve to underline this peace of mind for our customers."

Motor Codes, the self-regulatory body for the automotive retail sector operates three consumer codes, covering new car sales, service and repair and the sale and administration of warranty products.

Chris Mason, managing director at Motor Codes, sees the addition of Jaguar Land Rover to the Service and Repair Code as a signal of strength, "Motor Codes now represents the vast majority of manufacturer networks, with motorists enjoying customer relationships based on quality, trust and reliability, backed by our dedicated customer advice line, should queries arise.  I'm sure that Jaguar Land Rover's involvement further cements its position as a premium service provider in the eyes of its customers.

Garages, franchised and independent, that want to demonstrate their commitment to quality can subscribe to Motor Codes at http://www.motorcodes.co.uk/. Motorists visiting the site are able to use the Motor Codes Garage Finder tool to locate a member garage in their local area. Customer ratings are displayed, allowing potential garage customers to make an informed decision on where to take their car.
