Subscription costs just £75+ VAT per annum. When first registering to the Code garages are required to also purchase our Starter Pack £30+VAT. The starter pack containts copies of the Code, brief guide and a brief guide leaflet dispenser.
The optional Welcome Visit provides subscribers with an opportunity to receive advice and practical guidance on the measures they have in place to meet their obligations under the Code. The visit provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about the Code. You can select whether you would like to receive a free Welcome Visit during the registration process.
The Compliance Check forms part of the monitoring toolkit that Motor Codes uses to assess subscribers compliance with the Code. Each Subscriber will receive an unannounced Compliance Check by RAC Inspection Services within 24 months of their registration or their previous Compliance Check. Checks cost £175 +VAT.
Every Subscriber must have copies of the Code available for Consumers to view, upon request.
Copies of the Brief Guide must be clearly displayed within the customer area of a subscriber's premises and must be freely available for consumers to take. The brief guide includes the consumer csurvey, which consumers can complete and return cto Motor Codes.
The Consumer Advice line is free for consumers and subscribers to contact.
If a case is referred to Conciliation, a Conciliation fee of £75 +VAT per case is payable by the Subscriber.
Should the Consumer wish to refer a case to Arbitration, the Consumer and Subscriber share the cost of Arbitration, £500 +VAT per case, on a sliding scale dependent upon the amount of money claimed.
