About the API
The Motor Codes website contains a Garage finder tool that allows users to search for subscribing Motor Codes garages.
The Garage Finder search functionality allows users to filter results using a number of optional filters;
- Garage name
- Garage type
- Services provided by the garage
- Makes of vehicles serviced by the garage
- The location and proximity of a garage
Depending on the user specified filters, a list of search results displays basic garage information to the user. The user can then choose to view a specific garage profile page. The profile page contains the publically available information for that member garage.
The Motor Codes Garage Finder application programming interface (API) provides a platform to replicate this functionality on other websites. It provides the tools and methods for authorised data partners to integrate Garage Finder into their systems with maximum flexibility.
